Boutique Texas A&M related items, including some handmade, are
sold at monthly meetings, Parents' Weekend Boutique and occasionally other
venues. Profits are used to support scholarships and donations to
on-campus student organizations.
Pecan Sales Our club buys pecans directly from the grower. Club members package pecan pieces and halves into zip-loc bags for direct sale to friends and family. Profits are used to support scholarships and donations to on-campus student organizations. Poinsettias Another fund raiser for 2009-2010 will be sales of beautiful poinsettias for the holidays. Put some additional color around your house this year to help get you in the spirit! Spring Concert Concert performed by a campus singing group. To date we have hosted Singing Cadets, Women's Chorus and Century Singers. Profits are shared by Collin County Aggie Moms and the singing group. Members of the singing group are hosted in homes of members. Scholarship Scholarships are awarded to both incoming freshman and returning students, who are residents of Collin County, or attend high school within the county. Scrip Fund Raiser whereby gift certificates are purchased by members from a vendor. The vendor donates a percentage of the purchase to Collin County Aggie Moms. For 2009-2010 school year, script will only be sold prior to the December Holidays. Raffle A Raffle is held during Parent's Weekend Boutique. Profits are used to support scholarships and donations to on-campus student organizations. Quilting Club Monthly meeting of Aggie Moms interested in various aspects of quilting. This is a fun time to socialize, learn quilting secrets and make creative items around Aggie themes. Aggie Mom's Golf Club - for those moms that are interested in playing golf and enjoying the camaraderie that playing a round of 18 has to offer. Aggie Moms Connecting This is a great opportunity to socialize and get to know your fellow Aggie Moms on a more personal level. Check out the Aggie Mom emails for calendar of events and details. If you have ideas for an event, please let us know! Email/Website Email is used as the prime method of communication between members for notice of meetings, newsletter distribution, classifieds and personal messages. All email information must support the purpose of the Collin County Aggie Moms, which is to support the University, and it's students. Members who do not have email are contacted by telephone. The Web page is used to promote the activities of the Collin County Aggie Moms to both current and prospective members. Friends Former presidents who continue to be actively involved and offer to act as advisors to the Board. Aggie Angel is a sophomore, junior, senior, or alumni mom who has "been there" and is available to answer new Fish Mom's many questions concerning your student's first year at A&M. Goodie Bags Goodie Bags are prepared for students of club members twice a year, before each Final Exam week. It is a "bag" of snacks and treats available for purchase to give to your student around the time of final exams to provide relief during this stressful time. The entire purchase price goes towards the bag and its contents. Book Awards: Book awards will be presented in the fall and spring of each year and funded through the club's general fund. A book award consists of an account setup in the name of an eligible recipient at the Texas A&M University Bookstore on one of the Texas A&M University Campus'. A book award is designated for the purchase of text books or school supplies. For more information on book awards, please check out the standard operating procedures!. Historian The historian keeps a record of club activities by collecting pictures and other memorabilia and arranging them in a scrapbook. |
